It's found by the banks of the Shannon estuary
Within reed beds or by pretty boreen
A testimony for their human endeavours
The essence of their dream
It's standing by the roadside in grotto adorned
With garlands of rosemary poseys of daisy
The statue with a stone heart
Keeping us all crazy
