There's an evil on the streets
That just cannot be cured
If it's living next door to you
You cannot rest assured
This temple will not fall
Like those days of old
The chalice of poison
The cleric so bold

There's an evil in their eye
Observed Constantine
Kissing on the floor
Is hardly divine
Or romantic like Venice
Italy or Rome
Sitting so prettily
Upon Papal throne

Judge the homosexual
By the forest of mystique
Imagine where your thoughts began
Then inward travel deep
Pontificate in ignorance
Preach but do not talk
The Universal church of arrogance
Can take a Fucking walk

Along the nearest runway
In leer jet luxury
Kissing the sacred tarmac
From construction plc
Another deal for Jesus
Done for the sake of good
No matter for the rainforest
They make prayer books from the wood

FANATICAL SABBATICAL

In the name of the most sacred Divinity itself
The tabernacle in gold is locked safely upon the shelf
Anoint the fallen angel create a miracle child
Perform the act of devotion while deliriously running wild

In the face of superstition a haunting in the eye
The faithful go to meekly praise the glorious on high
The baptism of submersion drowning within the deep
Following with eyes wide open the blind faith path of sleep

In the heart of mortal saviour who suffered for thy sins
Sits the devious the patriot the desperate one who clings
To every emotional nightmare that creeps up from the east
Carries the trilogy of illusion calls himself the priest

In the sacrifice of pilgrimage self denial seeks reward
Acceptance of their elegance live in heaven with their lord
The fanatical sabbatical the gathering of the sweet
It’s in your neighbours hearts and minds within people that you meet

THE STATUE WITH A STONE HEART

It's found by the banks of the Shannon estuary
Within reed beds or by pretty boreen
A testimony for their human endeavours
The essence of their dream

It's standing by the roadside in grotto adorned
With garlands of rosemary poseys of daisy
The statue with a stone heart
Keeping us all crazy

THE ARROGANCE OF DEMOCRACY

The origin of our rituals, customs, instincts and traditions is pre-christian and not drawn from eastern philosophies. Before the concept of god became popular, humans evolved and co-existed within the forests and woodlands of northern Europe. Aware of natures force and the power of her elements, respectful of both and happy to accept the ways of nature over his own selfish desires. Through observance and meditation upon the self and the environment of the self within nature, we became aware of our universal consciousness. We were sensitive to Natures subtle ways and appreciative of her maternal instinct. To nurture, protect and encourage was our mutual purpose.
The way that nature and mankind evolved created a deep connection, between us all. The woodlands and the forests will always have an emotional effect upon people, the trees can sense our existence, excitements and fears. Through our ancestral memories of originating in the forest we are touched by their magic, especially at night and during full moon. The forest is a sacred place, a source of spiritual sustenance and renewal. A place of great benefit to the pagan wishing to align her/his cauldrons.
Humanity has changed very little in the past six thousand years, our need for connecting with nature is now greater than ever. The sacred groves of Oak or Yew tree are special places of meditation, contemplation and inner enlightenment We should endeavour to visit and experience these special places, as often as we can.
All trees are objects of natural beauty and great spleandour, a reflection of ourselves and the embodiment of humanity's earthly condition: Birth, youth, life, old age, death, regeneration and renewal. This is the reflection of nature and the only truth we know.
Each individual human being, has his/hers own symbolic tree that is associated with the day on which that person was born. These symbols in turn form the basis of basic language and early knowledge gained within the forest. The forest can exert a powerful emotional influence upon humans. A night spent in any woodland can evoke deep inner instincts and feelings of a profound nature. A place which exists deep within our sub consciousness and is derived from our ancestral memories of the forest.
So the need for all humans to experience nature is essential to a healthy body, mind and spirit. this is even becoming accepted as part of modern school curriculum's. Primary school children are often encouraged to grow watercress and pick wild flowers in nature rambles through woods, but this is not enough..
When timber and trees were plentiful and growing in abundance, mankind did not realise that those trees were of a greater importance to nature and earth than himself.
The concept of a god became popular and the notion that the god had created all of natures resources for the sole benefit of mankind became accepted mindset of the people. Nature is about to make us all think again about the last two thousand years, when mankind has destroyed, wasted and burned the forests, changed natural bio diverse eco-systems into mono cultures and synthetically produced seedless hydrophonic vine crops, all to satisfy an ever more ignorant generation of beings.
The price of oil and other resources is now increasing on a daily basis and like battery farmed objects of existence. We are made to pay, whatever they say.
An opportunity to link with nature should never be missed, a stroll in the forest or a mountain hike or ramble, will always re-energize and rekindle ones connection with the ancient spirits of our past. Sometimes if the luck is with you, a glimpse of a vision of the future and how it could be!. May be bestowed upon you by the gracious earth spirits. Respect and accept this wisdom if you are fortunate enough to experience it. Connect with the nature that exists around you, value the simple things in life and always suspect the arrogance of democracy.

FOLLOW IN HER WAYS

The understanding and acceptance that, wells, springs, rivers and fountains are guarded and watched over by water spirits is ages old. These spirits are to be placated or invoked as required.
Press flower offerings into clay and place into the water for favours to be received....
Srotha, the streams leading from the source are there to energize and educate, bathing and drinking of their magical waters is a very desirable act to undertake.
Water adds life and vitality to any landscape, the fish that breed and live in it, the birds who come to drink from it and the mammals who reside in the banks surrounding it, they all rejoice and gather in abundance around natures essence. The gentle sounds of waters flowing is natures music to the ears, hear her tune.
Follow in her ways.

NEW MOON RISING

There's a new moon rising over skies this night
We heed its influence take the vast insight
Observe its movement of the changing face
A nightly beacon from dark deep space

There's a new moon over and above our head
Watching slowly shifting slumber within bed
Nocturnal light source a giver of notion
From deep in the forest to enormous ocean

There's a new moon rising for a dozen more
In constant motion from field to door
Silent majestic in its presence supreme
Carrying this nightly pleasant dream

SPIRITUALISM

I am rich in my heart
Wealthy in spiritualism or wisdom
At source from another time
Discovered in an intricate prism

I am radical in thought
Extreme in action or deed
Ignorant of others requirements
Possessed by self centred greed

I am poor in monetary terms
Empty pockets of failed dreams
At the mercy of the biblical fanatics
As my spirituality screams

I am in angst in poverty
Under the capitalists enigmatic spell
Traded or exchanged for value
Caught between heaven or hell

THE COLD MOON

I am like the winters moon
Brushed by magic of witches broom
Glowing fire so bright within
Taking the steps to withershin

I am just like that moon so cold
In silence here in dark abode
Still in contemplation distant
Finally in motion resistant

I am the cold moon on the turn
Frozen edge for spring I yearn
Warmth of growth renewal now
Pass the way of sacred bough

I am the glimmer of distant light
The fullest moon brings fairies flight
Into the eye of human existence
Following the path of least resistance
